Mark Cerrone Inc. is undertaking the demolition of Boilers 1 and 2 at Buffalo State’s Central Heating Plant. The project involves the abatement and removal of asbestos-containing materials, followed by the demolition of the existing boilers and associated piping. The work also includes the removal of stair platforms and the proper disposal of all materials. Additionally, Mark Cerrone Inc. is responsible for the removal of six underground fuel oil tanks, each with a capacity of 42,000 gallons, and all associated piping. The project aims to modernize the heating plant, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact by replacing outdated equipment with new, more efficient systems.
