The project involved removing and replacing Direct Fixation Rail Fastener (DFF) assemblies and installing new NFTA-supplied DFF assemblies with new anchor inserts and bolts. The contractor cored holes, installed inserts with epoxy grout, and provided and installed anchor bolts. Pre and post-construction surveys established track positions, and a licensed surveyor certified the layout. The contractor inspected and replaced Type TM precast concrete slabs in the tunnel invert, installed new DFF assemblies, and supplied necessary pads. They also repaired TM slabs, replaced 115RE rail, cleaned the tunnel invert, and performed stray current testing. Finally, a concrete sealer was applied to the TM slabs.
