DL&W Rail Terminal

Project Manager: Chris Ganje

Project Value: $16 Million

As part of a $87 Million redevelopment of the DL&W rail terminal, Mark Cerrone Inc. is working with the NFTA on the station’ future use.

Currently passengers exit the train prior to the DL&W yard. Once this project is completed passengers will be able to ride the train to the platform and exit to the backside of the Key Bank Center.

This project includes the installation of the new pedestrian platform, installation of a new wall between the public area and “yard” area of the train shed, demolition of walls for new storefront access along the riverwalk, and new electric rooms on the first floor.

An elevator will be installed on the platform for passengers to go up to the second floor to reach the second elevator that will bring them back to street level.

A new steel and glass stair tower will be built on South Park Avenue to house the second elevator and the street is to be re-aligned with new sewer, curb, sidewalks, landscaping and fencing.
