In 2021, Mark Cerrone, Inc. provided utility work on Old Upper Mountain Road in Lockport, New York, as part of a cleanup action under New York’s State Superfund Program. The project involved relocating the existing Gulf Interceptor Sewer out of the contaminated site. This included installing, testing, and commissioning new sewer infrastructure to replace the old system. Additionally, contaminated materials encountered during the installation were removed, characterized, and disposed of off-site. The project aimed to protect public health and the environment by addressing hazardous waste and improving the site’s infrastructure.
