Project Manager: John Toscano
Total Project Value: $2.1 M
The project involved unclassified excavation and disposal, installing subbase, top, and binder courses, and using treated timber and lumber. It included cast-in-place concrete curbs, light and heavy stone filling, and cutting pavement. Steel repairs and miscellaneous timber dock appurtenances, such as benches, rails, curbs, and trash bins, were also part of the project. The contractor used select granular fill, controlled low-strength material, and geotextile drainage. They installed permanent steel sheeting, timber railings, and underdrain filters with perforated PVC pipes. Concrete and brick paved sidewalks and driveways were constructed, and concrete block pavers were removed, stored, and reset. The project also included topsoil and turf establishment for lawns, installing light poles, removing existing docks and piles, disposing of buildings, and performing structure excavation. Additional tasks involved using a temporary turbidity curtain, installing culverts and storm drains, and setting up a floating dock system. Electrical and plumbing work were also completed.
