The project involved the asbestos abatement and building demolition of three dormitory buildings at SUNY at Buffalo South Campus in Buffalo, NY. The structures were constructed as post-WWII era bomb shelters which made demolition very challenging. Mobilization including temporary fencing and the installation of site erosion controls. Work included the disconnection of all utilities from MacDonald, Pritchard & Schoellkopf Halls and the demolition and removal of the Steam tunnel connecting MacDonald and Pritchard Halls. The removal of the existing steam tunnel required the construction of new emergency egress structures.
